EOLE



EOLE (Ensemble Ouvert Libre Evolutif)1 est une méta distribution Linux francophone basée sur Ubuntu. Orientée serveur, elle est destinée plus spécifiquement au monde de l'éducation et offre entre autres services, un système de configuration simplifiée. Elle présente aussi la spécificité d'être développée par l'éducation Nationale en France. A partir du CD d'installation il est possible d'installer plusieurs modules.

Usefull telnet common commands to remote control and manage your set top box Dreambox 500, 600 or 800 HD with Enigma1 or Enigma2 firmware :

for flashing image in telnet
cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

for making backup in /tmp directory
cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img

factory reseting box should be something like
eraseall /dev/mtd/1 && reboot

SpeedTest de la clé 3G++ de Tunisie Telecom


Ce test a été réalisé à Hammam-Lif, sur une machine Ubuntu 10.10 connectée au réseau mobile 3G++ de Tunisie Telecom à l'aide d'un modem 3G++ Huawei E367 HSDPA+(
High Speed Downlink Packet Access). HSDPA+ est une évolution de la norme HSDPA permettant d'atteindre des débits jusqu'à 56 Mbit/s en aval et 22 Mbit/s en amont sur les terminaux compatibles. Modem 3G++ fonctionnel sur Ubuntu, Fedora, Mandriva, Mac OSX et Windows
